As part of the Pink October ceremonies, AWAFY Team in Zalingei organized awareness activities about breast cancer the event Took place from 29 – 31 October 2023, at three shelters below:
- Al-Rabat Elementary School
- Al-Shula School
- Ministry of Health
The events targeted more than 150 displaced individuals, where awareness sessions were held about the dangers of breast cancer, prevention methods, causes, the importance of regular check-ups, and self-test techniques, also Theater activities were provided, in addition to distributed flyers.
Women in conflict zones are facing extremely complex situations due to war, where medical and healthcare services are lacking. Our team works under these complicated circumstances to mitigate the effects of displacement by providing psychological support and humanitarian assistance to the displaced in the shelters and gathering points
